1. Sometimes when people of different ages play a game, parts of the game have to be changed, so everyone can understand the rules.  Think of a game you play often at home or at school.  This could be a board game, a card game, an outside game, etc.   How could you change the guidelines or rules of the game, so even young children may participate?  Name the game and clearly explain how you changed the game to make it fair, so everyone could play.  In your paragraph, explain how this connects to St. Katharine Drexel and how she demonstrated justice.  
2. Think about all the blessings God bestows on you and your family.  Make a list of at least 10 of those blessings.  We love God always, but think carefully about what you may simply return to God in justice.  Make a list of these, too.  Sometimes we think we are being super generous for God.  Yet when we write it down, we notice we are barely fulfilling our duty.  Discuss the lists with your family.  After discussing these with your family, you may want to add a few more ideas to the second list.  Choose one way to show more justice to God this month.  In your paragraph, clearly explain your idea and how it connects to St. Katharine Drexel, especially how she demonstrated justice.
3. Below are two links to videos about St. Katharine Drexel.  Watch them and write about new ideas and information you learned about her life.  In your paragraph, clearly explain what you learned and how this helped you understand justice.  Explain the ideas you learned that you will put into practice in your own life.  (You may have to copy and paste the links into your browser.)

4. Think about the many ways your parents love and make sacrifices for you.  Make a list of at least 10 ways.  How do you respond, in justice, to this incredible love and sacrifice?   How might your responses change, as you get older?  In your paragraph, clearly explain what you learned about justice by doing this and how it connects to St. Katharine’s example of practicing justice.

• The introduction must include the title of the book, typed in italics and the name of the author 
• In the introduction, avoid phrases like “in my selection” or “I am going to tell you about”.  Take yourself out of the introduction.  Do not write it in first person.
• Having a selection with too many characters can make it confusing to understand the reading.  
• Be sure to end at a stopping point that makes sense.  Either you have reached the climax and you stop, leaving the listener wanting more; or you choose to reveal the resolution of the story.  Don’t end in the middle just because you’re at the end of the time limit.  Edit unnecessary passages to make sure the reading has a beginning, middle, and end.

• You will be judged on the following:
  1. Meaningful introduction and transitions
  2. Suitable material
  3. Recreation of scene/mood
  4. Ability to create and maintain characters
  5. Effective use of voice/diction
  6. Poise and Posture
  7. Appropriate gestures/movement
  8. Adhering to the time limit         

• Get enough sleep and eat healthy meals and snacks
• Arrive at school on time
• Check to make certain all materials are packed before leaving home/school
• Fully engage themselves in class:  listen, ask questions, take notes, respond 
• Use time wisely
• Reread, check for quality work
• Turn in all homework, assignments, and projects on time
